Today's Weekly Update!! Policy at RedQStudios & Life

Madnews here,
 Today's Weekly Update

RedQStudios Policies

As I'm somewhat new to the world of blogging, & simply managing a blog,
you might've not have found it surprising that I didn't have simple things such as a privacy
or disclosure policy.

Well, since this blog is around a year old now, I want to be able to get approved for google Adsense,
which is what brought these changes and will bring more changes in the future to actually get approved. So any inquiries or rather curiosity in what we have to disclose about such things as privacy or our disclosure to readers will be found in the tab on the top right of our website, in addition you may have already noticed in my footer my copyright policy so please feel free to investigate there as well.

(Update: I finally got Adsense approved after a gruelling week of trying to fix and optimize this website!! Thank god, it took so long, I almost shat myself when I popped on my blog to see ads on my website, count me lucky, so many people get disapproved, I couldn't believe my eyes, I just about had given up on Ad sense at this point)

IRl Update

Now to speaking of what I've been doing & as to why I haven't released a new review.. It's because of "The Monogatari Series" as to the first reason and the second being "Shinsekai Yori",  Third is just due to my own laziness. Also I'm here now to tell you about some Anime that I find are great...

Shinsekai Yori

The thing is around February I started collecting the material needed for "Shinsekai Yori" review, that being screenshots. It was a painful experience, 344 Screenshots total for a series I was desperately trying to skim through and only take what I needed - Clearly when it comes to such things as this I lack a clear sense of moderation. Anywho less than half of those were actually singled out for the review and about say a quarter were actually used.

The good news is that I actually completed the review in it's entirety a long long time ago, the bad news is that I only written the review simply because I had just recently watched it - It's because I wanted to keep everything, including plot detail fresh in my mind, so I thought it optimal I review it right after. The downside is that while I'm somewhat whimsical when it comes to what exactly I'll post next, I do like to follow my instincts, and to that point, I want to follow my review schedule & right now next on the list is the Monogatari Series, which is a huge pain in the Arse.

Monogatari Series

Bakemonogatari alone I took in the area of 450 screen shots, and that's just 15 episodes.. The long since wanted to review the series but it's still unprecedented for me to review such a series with multiple blocks let alone a daunting 86 episodes + the Film Trilogy.  I realized that it'd be weird or rather wrong to review this series, trying to sum it up into one big thing, whatever it may turn out to be. So I plan to properly review the respective blocks as they are (Ex: Balemonogatari, Nisemoogatari, Nekomonogatari etc.) in terms of the actual plot. I feel there are too many individual arcs and characters related to them to simply jumble everything into one thing in terms of the actual plot and narrative. Though do understand that the review still might be one big post, which I may actually have to individually section off somehow to keep it organized - which may be the calling care for me to finally start using page breakers and page numbers for posts ;)

I do plan to jump in despite the difficulties though, keep in mind that despite that, I'll probably take my time doing it, and making sure everything is just right, because I don't want to rush everything and make all this work I've putting in to turn out to be a waste of sorts.

Anime Happenings

I like would like to say that the anime industry is running somewhat dry nowadays and it's hard to find things to watch, or rather I've been running out of thing to watch because I guess that's how I feel, though when I actually look at how many series I've watched within the past month, that turns out to be not true. The reality is that Iv'e finished completing around 10 give or take series this past month and I've purchased around 25 in total, so a big phat lie on my part when I really sit down and think about it.

I think I feel that way because out of everything I've watched, I can no longer say that I'm still on a hot streak like I was back in november. I've yet to watch a series that once again utterly amazed me and everything was exciting. It's series such as Katanagatari, Fate Say Night: Unlimited Bladeworks, or Non Non Biyori. For me it was series after series that I just kept watching series that I felt personally really satisfied and excited about, I think that sort of has come to an end though, I mean the hot streak lasted a couple months so a really Naive part of me though it was going to last longer, sadly though good anime doesn't grow on trees. That's not to say I haven't watched anything note worthy as of late because that would be untrue. I have watched a few series that nearly did excite me and/or satisfy me on that level though. Namely Shinsekai Yori, Ef, Anohana, Grisaia and Arakawa under the Bridge. Though the thing is I didn't watch those back to back and only Grisaia had me really excited, despite all of it's problems. Recently I found my self actually also turning towards manga series such as Kingdom and Chihayafuru which I've been reading heavily along with some rom coms and such.

In all I still have a lot I haven't watch at all and are just sitting around my shelf, but the truth is I do feel, slowly that it's getting harder and harder to find things to watch since I find my self looking in every nook and cranny to find anime as the ones mentioned above or watching series that I've previously passed off.  A prime example would be Anohana... Why didn't I watch this sooner!! It was unbelievably great, though I was somewhat turned off since I thought it was just going to be another typical slice of life drama, but man do I find myself slapping myself on the wrists because of it,  Anohana is certainly a show that you shouldn't miss, will receive the strongest of recommendations on my part, a review will be on it's way as well.

Cool thing is that Attack on Titan Season 2 started airing, once again found myself bummed out that it'll only last 12 episodes, but I think that's due to the anime catching up on the manga a bit too quickly, I mean, we'll se what this season has to offer. My eyes also popped out of there sockets when Owarimonogatari Season 2 was announced (Comming July !!) , I absolutely can't wait for that. Speaking of Shaft, I've started to watch the anime adaptation Kubikiri Cycle, a very curios first episode, somewhat confusing at times, as this series is primarily driven by intense intellectual conversations. Along with that some interesting characters and an odd setting, I'm personally quite excited so we'll see. The animation while somewhat distracting at times, with regards to the use of 3D CG, this is none the less a top notch production, even by shaft standards. The funny thing is like I've said I've been carefully been making the review for the Monogatari series for a while now and I'll have you know I've been watching a lot a shows from shaft such as Denpa Onna, Arakawa, Tsukoyomi Moonphase and Ef. So It's really amazing to see how Shaft has evolved over the years, and that certainly takes precedent in their new production "Kubikiri Cycle". I'm in the middle of writing another post overviewing Shaft, their productions over the years and of course mainly writing about what I've seen for the first 4 episodes, it'll be something like a preview, so stay tuned.

Last I feel I should mention me diving into some production from P.A works, particularly works written by Jun Maeda, the original creator of Clannad. Some interesting stuff in regards to a series called "Charlotte". Now you see, I don't really have much experience watching shows from Pa Works simply because, while I appreciate their animation, such as their 3C CG chops and detailed environments, I'm not really so hot for their direction. Pretty visuals, though for series such as Red Data Girl or Shirobako, their more or less tone deaf if you know what I mean. Though from what I've gathered they seem to have other productions that are better than these, which I think I agree, seeing a few episodes from Charlotte. I've also failed to mention that I've been following a series called Kobayashi's Maid Dragon for a while now, and since the last episode is going to air on Thursday, I feel it be best I write a review for it as well, since I absolutely adore everything about it, another great production from Kyo Ani.

Konosuba Season 2

Now It's probably because me being somewhat unsatisfied with the way some things ended despite enjoying continuing series such as Naruto, Gintama or Konsuba. Though I like Konosuba, after the first season I did have higher expectations (though I try my best to avoid having them), though Konosuba did end in a somewhat disappointing manner, as aI thought they would once again capitalize on the next cour, though I do't think they did. Don't get me wrong though, I really enjoyed it, it's just I felt it was a bit anti climatic and since things are as they are in the anime industry, not many series actually get renewed for a season 2 let alone a season 3, no matter how popular they are, so I felt that it was really riding on the people at Studio Deen to create this absolutely awesome experience and replicate or rather surpass the success they had i the first season, which I don't feel they did. None the less, it was still enjoyable & I'm happy it did happen.

I'm somewhat bummed out, though I can't really blame studio Deen for this, as they do have to follow the source material - It's a rule of thumb not to blame the production studio for things involving the story, although of course unless they cut to much content or rush the story boarding, so much so that it really effects the production in a negative way. Of course, in all, it's really important to remember that when a studio's adapting something, that they are not responsible for the source material or the decisions made when writing it.

Gintama

For me personally, I was so excited way bak in the months of November that Gintama was going to be renewed for a new season once again. The funny thing is, it was only on sunday that I realized it was actually over, since I initially didn't know how long the series would run for. The funny thing is I was actually waiting to stream the next episode by I noticed it wasn't up anywhere, so I checked the usual MAL and I finally learned that Gintama was only running for 12 episodes, which made me feel like dog piss since I thought after the "Battle on Rakuyo" arc was over we'd delve into other things.

Apparently not, as they say, well it is what is, thought I still Enjoyed the juicy goodness of the first 6-8 episodes, I can't help but feel the last few, while insightful were somewhat Cliche and predictable, exactly what I expected to go down between Kagura and Kamui, and the whole battle royal situation that occurred. Some epic moments, others predictable. what's more disappointing is that while this series used to be a series that aired weekly for a few years is now on and off with moderate to large hiatuses. I'm glad that we've finally been getting some of the more juicy beans spilt in the latest of instalments all of which I can say were awesome (such as the "Farewell Shinsengumi arc") it's sad since we really don't know what the future holds, and if Bandai pictures is going to see Gintama through to the end, and how long it will take Hideaki Sorachi to actually get there regarding it's manga. It's my hope that this doesn't become another case of "Bleach" but it could very well happen.

Naruto Shippuden

As you know Naruto has come to an end, some are rejoicing, some are mourning, some don't care, but I'm glad that Boruto: next gen is going to start airing soon, replacing Naruto. The Funny thing is, is that I was actually gonna write this big celebratory post when the final episode, episode 500 aired. Celebrating all the good, bad, epic and atrocious times in Naruto. That didn't happen because I was initially planning for the next post to be a review. So I guess the celebratory post will have to occur here.

You see Naruto has been running for a really long time, especially if we count the original series, the episode count would clock in around 720 episodes. I my math is right, that's around 280 hours of content, like holy crap rofl. It's been one long big arsed journey, filled with filler, the crappy 4th great ninja war and more filler. I'm glad it's over, in many ways.  For me the fourth great ninja war sucked,
it sucked badly, like it was so bad, like very bad.. JUST BAD. Everyone became a god, Everyone was  revived and it became this really weird and cheesy gigantic battle royal with thousands of ninja's with endless clones of white zetsu. The war didn't feel like a war, when people died it's like "Who gives a S@*&". What's worse is how the ten tails husk just kept evolving like some demented pokemon, whilst every single meaningless fight was dragged out, and we're constastly going through these filler/recap scenarios within the Infinite Tsukoyomi. All the while the animation quality just kept dropping and dropping and dropping.

The good new is that there were some stand out moments between Sasuke's and Naruto's final clash, along with the Itachi shinden arc as well as the sage of six path's prologue arc. In fact there were many cry worthy moments at that. Sadly it gets even worth though, when they finally had to deal with Kaguya,  the most terrible and unforgettable villain in this series, a horrible last boss that nobody cared about. everything about this Kaguya was extremely anti climatic in every sense of the word.

Thankfully the last season is great. Oddly enough it's filled with small story lines scattered throughout different timelines, and well animated and insightful stories. The last season had taken a turn towards smaller side stories & they've certainly upped the production quality with these small arcs to a very respectable level. These small arcs are really quite well animated & they range from timelines from the past to the future, so it really is interesting stuff. Though of course, the Naruto world and lore has been somewhat exhausted, which is why the filler in the fourth great ninja war was absolutely abysmal and painful, as I simply waited and waited for it to be over,  & at the end kaguya was really anti climatic, though the final showdown between Sasuke and Naruto was definitely without a doubt incredible. Though I honestly felt all the build up and the stalling was pretty much for nothing, and out of all the arcs in Naruto, the whole 4th great ninja war for me was incredibly boring. So with Boruto I really hope this will be a fresh start, as I've actually seen the movie and it seems pretty interesting, though the villains... not so much. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing sadara Uchiha's story fleshed out as she seems interesting as well as Oroachimaru's son, to whom we don't actually know who his mother is, if you actually consider Oroachimaru to actually be a male, or human for that matter.

The thing is, the whole last season was just chill and defused, and I liked that, it all just seemed more down to earth. Despite lacking some continuity there aren't any other problems regarding the last episodes. Actually there was one incredibly disappointing thing that occurred and that's when we finally got to the long wedding. Were you glad you made it this far? great then well just end it right here... like WTF. I spent weeks watching episodes building up to the wedding and at the end you can't even see pretty much any of it? AND it's the last episode? complete buzzkill like FAIL.

Phew, it's great to get that all off my chest, I mean I never go off on a series with that much negative criticism, so you're probably wondering why I even watched Naruto. only a single reason, because I remember.

I remember all the absolutely fantastic and cry worthy moments I've been through learning about Naruto and all the life sprawling and world building they go through. From Naruto being rejected to respected. From Naruto, with his own hands learning the rasengan, learning sage Jutsu to have an epic battle with Nagato at the devastated Konoha village and the awesome evil creep called Oroachimaru, then Naruto finally becoming Hokage. I'm finally glad that Naruto's story has been concluded. Well sort of, you see Boruto is going to start airing I believe on the 6th of this week, so I'm going to be tuning in despite everything and despite what negative criticism of the manga I've heard.

Thoughts for Today

Lately I've been feeling really optimistic for studios such as Shaft and Kyoto animation, and that's due part for their new instalments this season round. Instead of finding myself excited to watch, discover and learn about new anime, I'm more excited and interested to review and hare what I've watched already and celebrate it in that fashion, I feel bummed out in a couple ways, though that'll probably end once I see the upcoming Fate anime adaptions coming to us in the near future as well as when One Punch man and Stiens Gate Zero start airing so not really a bleak future at all!! I also can't wait to get my hands on Kizumonogatari: Reiketsu Hen the third instalment to the trilogy.

Sincerely,

Madnews
