RedQStudios Policy
Along with some other moderate changes to the site, I've written in extensive detail expanding upon Privacy, DMCA Copyright Policies, our Terms & Conditions, and what's acceptable user content here on RedQStudios. More of contingency for that matter, though I do my best in trying to upkeep this website with my sights ahead and to carry myself and this brand with an adequate amount of professionalism. I ask everybody who visits RedQStudios, to please read our policy and terms before further using the website. I will announce updates in the future here and through my social media handles as well as on their respective pages.
Now moving on to what I've been watching and writing...
Website Update
Along with that, I'm working my hardest to polish up the website, editing old pages and replacing old links and such. Also adding in for useful custom widgets for the website, such as the new Disqus forum replacing the old commenting system and getting an SSL certificate for my domain, so you can feel safer when browsing the site. In addition to that I've created several social media handles for future use, when this project begins to take off. I've also decided to, for now, halt any new reviews until I'm done revising old ones, and so far it's been going pretty well. Although it's quite draining and tiresome, everyday I'm always woking on something having to do with the site or an old post and made quite a bit of progress. However I recognize that it will take time, though I'm trying my absolute hardest to work as efficiently as possible.

The Chihayafuru review was updated once again (For the 5th time and final time) & Steins;Gate was also updated and re written in extensive detail. I do still plan to withhold some unreleased articles I've written such as my Shinsekai Yori write up until everything is polished up and rewritten. In the past I've promised I would get to this, and it's been over half a year since I've said so. I apologize, due to personal circumstances I've slacked off immensely regarding the RedQ Project as a whole. However I did spend those months reading and learning far more about the craft I write about, at this point I've read countless books and such on Film Theory, Cinematography, Animation and even Colour studies. Also learning the Adobe workflow and other programs such as Final Cut, and purchasing and setting up recording gear for when I finally launch my first Youtube video's - Which you'll see very soon.

Right now, I feel I can approach writing, so when I publish articles they'll be more future proof and far more researched and knowledgable. This is why the RedQ project hasn't taken off far from where we started. The website and the journey I've been on has been pretty much a growing and evolving prototype to what I see myself doing with this brand in the future - And I see a lot of great things and potential, though there's this big fat hump I just to get over to finally start and begin - Which is of course Re writing previous articles I've written to the standard you'd see when reading my articles on
the Monogatari Series or Steins;Gate.
Once catch up with everything, I'm going to use this website as the foundation for my Youtube Channel endeavour and leverage social media to see where I get. Though I promise you that right now I'm solely focussed on working on this project successful, and everyday I'm working & progressing the RedQ project. There will be no more delays or hiatuses in the near future as I plan to see this through with one push.
Also as a closing note, I want to remind people of the new RedQ's Favourites page and newly designed badge I've made. It's a place more geared towards my personal biases and impressions, rather than respect or objective analysis for a product than anything else. I also want to remind people of the rating criteria I put together and slaved over creating. Lot's of thought and individual research went into it, though it's still a flexible system and priority over general categories will shift from series to series.
Anime Irl Update
Today as you might already know Owarimonogatari Will begin airing a month from now today and tomorrow on August 12th-13th in it's entirety as a two day special instead of a 12 episode weekly release. I personally was pleasantly surpassed to hear this, as we normally have to wait weekly for each episode. However it's nothing to new for the monogatari series since Hanamonogatari was aired in a similar fashion. The sad thing is i've been hearing hear or there say about it only being 7-8 episodes along instead of 12, like it was originally announced. I'm sort of bummed, but if that's all the light novel adaptation needs, then so be it. Man I've been waiting for oh so long for this, sadly I've just written the Monogatari series review not too long ago, I'm personally kind of scratching my head as to the possibility of updating it - chills - However I don't see myself adding much so it probably won't be a problem. You can legally stream Owarimonogatari on Funimation or Crunchyroll if your not region locked.Immensely excited for next month today and tomorrow

Fate Apocrypha has been airing for 2 weeks now and I'm pretty intrigued, having watched the first to episodes. Though I have a suspicion that I may be somewhat disappointed in some aspects, but it's too early to tell really - Though if your a fan of anything Fate like I am, and if your tired of watching slice of life like I am, and if you like a nice amount of episodes (25) and a good kick of action, then you should definitely tune in to see what it might be about like I am. You can stream Fate Apocrypha legally in the US through Anime Strike or Netflix. Also, not to mention, near the end of the month Kizumonogatari Raiketsu Hen Bluray copies will be shipping soon, I personally can't wait to get my copy, as I've been waiting for way too long for this.

I've also been watching Shingeki No Bahamut Virgin Soul for quite a while now, it's pretty frickin'
awesome. Though the Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis was to short, overly rushed and had an odd time integrating 3D CG, this time around studio Mappa has been charring out some good stuff and some pretty decent story - not to mention NINA!! - Cuteness Overload. It's has incredible animation and is relatively action oriented and excitingly engaging. You can stream Shingeki No Bahamut Virgin Soul on Amazon's Anime Strike
Other than that, I've finished Attack on Titan S2, which I found it to be pretty good, and was happy to find out that, despite it not being 25 episodes long, it still, to me anyways was still satisfying. I was happy to find out that shortly after it was finished airing, that a season 3 was announced shortly after,
which it'll air sometime next year in the winter perhaps. I've also been keeping up with Dragonball and Boruto every week. Dragonball super, for me, is usually the main event when it comes to my sundays off. Despite the filler in earlier arcs, it's definitely has gotten far more exciting and just fun overall. Boruto is just alright, kinda corny though still better then the train wreck the Naruto Shippuden's 4th great ninja war arc though.
The Kubikiri Cycle has been progressing nicely, the next two episodes will see an August and September release. Now this series is sadly, very sadly unlicensed, so you won't be able to watch it, unless you buy a copy in Japan. Though if you have a contact in Japan, who speaks english as well,
as well as an subbing program such as Jubler, a light novel copy for reference, the program Mkv Toolnix to merge the subtitles with the video, a Blu ray/Dvd disc writer/reader and some of course some money, you can DIY your way to watching this series by getting a friend to translate the dialogue and make your own subtitles - or if you already speak Japanese then you'd just need to get your hands on the individual Bluray volumes they have been releasing. Either way it's an incredible hassle to be actually be able to watch this series. I suggest simply waiting for when the series is over and wait to purchase a possible bundled release of a potential licensed hard copy or perhaps if this series gets licensed for streaming rights. I've been greatly enjoying the series on my end though, the animation is absolutely fantastic, and like other previous shaft OVA and ONA series, perhaps this will be a prototype for a larger up coming series? perhaps.. however on it's own, it's completely gorgeous, and as always Akio Watanabe's character designs are always to die for.
I also think I've grown something of an addiction to anything Kyo Ani, like seriously, I've been digging and digging through there catalogue and pretty much love all of it. A Kyo Ani series never interests me right off the bat until I've watched 3-4 episodes, but it's strange because I always usually get sucked in by the end. Pristine Kyo Ani animation is something that I've grown to appreciate - Though I'll still reserve my opinions on the fact that design and story wise, there awfully conservative and don't change much series to series. I've been on quite the roll these past few months, as I've snagged quite a few shows to watch that really interested me. Digging up some great one's as well, forgotten gems such as Soredemo Machi Wa Mawwatieru and Kids on the Slope.
Thoughts For Today
Along with all the work, research and studying I've been doing for the RedQ Project, there's also many other great things, especially in the anime world I'm quite excited for. One thing I'm a little confused about is how exactly if and when I'm going to start reviewing other things such as films or music. This was the original plan, however, I'm sort of beginning wondering if I should just make this an anime only brand of journalism, or perhaps I should go with my original instincts? Because I don't want this just to be in the small Otaku corner, I also want to be covering other product categories I've been equally interested in and am as knowledgable in, such as Films, Video Games and Music.
Reviewing albums I like will probably be pretty difficult though and I may scrap the idea since, even though i've been a musician or 6 years now, it's still an odd preposition to review music in detail, since most people aren't musicians and really couldn't care less about more intricate aspects of the craft that they probably will never understand anyway. I'm somewhat guessing I should do perhaps more impressionistic reviews on records that are quick and short, I dunno.. I've also been juggling with how to cover industry news - You see I don't want this project to be ""News"" focussed, though I still want to cover it, while still having more substantiative and creative content. We'll see I guess.
Sincerely,
Madnews
