Chihayafuru Q's Anime Review & Commentary RedQStudios

In Addendum, It's my input that I think that with nice comedic relief, some slapstick comedy, heart punching intensity, a wide variety of characters, simple and effective themes, such as rivalry, the discrete pursuit of love, the progressive grind, unattainable love interest, a discerning eye for Karuta and it's subject matter, Japanese cultural insights expressing simple enlightenment, cry worthy moments of childhood and jovial excitement..

I do feel where it falls short in production quality (In comparison with the uber best), it more than enough makes up for it, so, yes I did knock off points in my book for it's mild shortcomings in production value, though since I grade productions more so on completion rather than perfection, I felt that this anime, for what it was trying to accomplish, was on point and did it beautifully, from a larger perspective, regarding it's story and how they expressed it and executed it, this made it a top pick in my books, only behind Clannad, which story wise, is in all likely hood thee best composed and emotionally strong animation I've seen yet, which is why I've rated it so high, due to the fact that it was also produced 10 years ago with animation that still stands today and to the particular point that I value plot and story composition over production quality. Chihayafuru will be at 9.34 out of ten.

Would and have recommended in a heartbeat!! this is a must see before you pass on to the afterlife (seriously it's that good!!) In a vast majority of mediocre high school teeny bopper anime, this is one of the few utter exceptions that you just have to break down those doubtful barriers and believe. This anime still has alot of room for growth as it has yet to be concluded, and the manga has gone past the anime and is still continuing, so lets hope for a season 3 and support this series for another.
